Export your records one table at a time. Each download is a CSV file you can open in a spreadsheet.

Export Zite database

  1. Open Database and select the table.
  2. Open … (Table options) beside its name at the top.
  3. Choose Export to CSV, then select the view to export, such as Grid view.
  4. Review any warnings and check the downloaded file. Repeat for other tables.

Choose the view whose records and columns you want to download.

What the export includes

  • Records in the selected view: Its filters determine which records are included.
  • Visible columns: Hidden fields are excluded. Column order and sorting follow the selected view.
  • Cell values: The CSV is a spreadsheet of values, not a copy of your apps, formulas, or table relationships.
For a complete table export, use a view with no filters and all the fields you need visible. Check the downloaded row count, especially if Zite displays a size warning.
Attachments export as links that expire. Download the files separately if you need to keep them outside Zite.

Move databases

To copy a business system to another Zite organization, use workspace export and import. That export does not include database records, so export those separately. Need a version you can restore inside Zite? Use Backup and restore. For a separate activity history, see Audit logs.

Import database

To bring a CSV or spreadsheet into Zite, follow Import data.
