How it works
LinkedIn is a professional network. Connect it to build tools for preparing and publishing updates to your personal feed. Posts use the member account you connect, rather than each app visitor’s account. With this integration, you can:- Publish text updates
- Share article links with a title and description
- Publish image posts
- Read the connected member’s basic profile
- Delete posts from the connected member
How to integrate LinkedIn into your app

Connect to LinkedIn
Ask Zite to connect LinkedIn, or click + in the chat box, select Integrations, then choose LinkedIn. Sign in to LinkedIn and approve profile and posting access. Keep the requested profile permissions enabled so Zite can identify the account that will publish.

Describe your use case
Tell Zite what content to prepare and who may publish it. For example, “Let me review a company update, edit its text and image, then publish it to my LinkedIn feed.”

Test and publish
Check the connected profile, post text, and link preview before posting. A test post is a real LinkedIn post, even if you send it from the app preview.Click Publish in the upper right corner when the workflow works as expected.
Common use cases
With LinkedIn, you can create apps like:- Update Publishers: Review and publish professional updates.
- Article Sharing Tools: Share an article with a chosen title and description.
- Image Post Tools: Publish approved images and captions.
- Post Management Tools: Keep links to posts created by the app and remove them when needed.
Important notes
- Personal feed: The connection publishes as the member who signs in. Company and organization Pages are not supported.
- Posting access: App visitors act through that member’s account. Limit who can publish or delete posts.
- Unavailable actions: This connection cannot read the member’s existing feed posts, add comments or likes, manage connections, or send messages.
- Link previews: Provide a title and description for an article link; this connection does not automatically create the card from the link alone.
- Post length: Keep post text within 3,000 characters.
- Reconnect when needed: LinkedIn access lasts about 60 days and does not renew automatically. Reconnect if access expires or is revoked.
