Monday.com organizes work into boards and items. Connect it to build custom portals and team tools using your existing boards. App visitors use the account associated with your key without connecting their own Monday.com accounts. With this integration, you can:- Find boards and display their items
- Create new items from app forms
- Update item details and statuses
- Assign people to items
- Show filtered views of project progress
How to integrate Monday.com into your app

Connect to Monday.com
Ask Zite to connect monday.com, or click + in the chat box, select Integrations, then choose monday.com. Paste the key from your Monday.com account into API Key and connect.

Describe your use case
Tell Zite which board and columns to use. For example, “Show our Client projects board, let clients submit new requests, and let staff update the status and owner.” Zite can look up available boards and their columns.

Test and publish
Create a sample item and update its status and owner. Check the correct board and column values in Monday.com.Click Publish in the upper right corner when the workflow works as expected.
Common use cases
With Monday.com, you can create apps like:- Client Portals: Show project progress to each client.
- Request Forms: Add new requests to a board.
- Approval Tools: Update item statuses after review.
- Team Dashboards: Track assignments and workloads.
Important notes
- Your own key: The connection uses a key from your Monday.com account. Keep it private and replace it in Zite if it is revoked.
- Connected account: Your app acts through the Monday.com account you connect. Set app access and permissions so users see and change only the information intended for them.
- Column options: Statuses and other choices must match the selected board’s columns. Ask Zite to check the current options if an update fails.
- Board changes: If you replace a board or change its columns, tell Zite to update the app and test existing records again.
- Refresh behavior: Connecting does not automatically keep a separate Zite table synchronized. Describe which changes should be copied and when.
