How it works

Connect Mailchimp to turn app activity into audience updates, email follow-ups, and SMS messages. This is useful for lead capture, lifecycle marketing, customer updates, and event reminders. By connecting Zite to Mailchimp, you can:
  • Add or update contacts in a Mailchimp audience
  • Tag and segment contacts based on actions they take in your app
  • Trigger Mailchimp customer journeys and marketing automations
  • Send email campaigns or follow-ups from Mailchimp
  • Use Mailchimp SMS Marketing or Transactional SMS when your Mailchimp account is set up for it

How to automate notifications

1

Connect to Mailchimp

In the chat box, request your app to be integrated with Mailchimp or click the plug icon  on the top right. Then, sign in to your account.

Mailchimp SMS options

Mailchimp supports SMS in two main ways:
  • SMS Marketing: Send marketing text messages to subscribed SMS contacts in a registered SMS program. SMS Marketing is available as an add-on for Mailchimp Essentials plans or higher, and messages require approved setup, credits, and SMS consent. Learn more in Mailchimp’s SMS Marketing docs.
  • Transactional SMS: Send expected, one-to-one messages like order updates, appointment reminders, one-time passcodes, or account alerts through Mailchimp Transactional. Transactional SMS requires Mailchimp Transactional, SMS credits, an approved sending number, and consent. Learn more in Mailchimp’s Transactional SMS docs.

Common use cases
